Be the change you wish to see in the world

When viewed from this perspective, making an effort and using one's willpower in order to bring about change in the external world will not result in changes that are genuine and long-lasting.

You are making wasteful use of energy, which you are then diminishing.

The only way to actually and permanently affect the reality around you is to become aware of the programs and ideas about you and the world that are residing in your unconscious mind, and then take steps to change those programs and ideas.

When you change, the entire universe adjusts to accommodate you.

It is not a question of manipulating energy by attempting to create a different universe; rather, it is a question of creating a different you. Awareness will transform you by preventing you from repeating the same old patterns over and over again and experiencing the same results.

Your ideas and thoughts are being projected into the world, and the world is merely reflecting back to you; therefore, if you want to see a change on the screen, you will need to change the film in the projector. The image that is displayed onto the screen is all that the screen does is reflect back.

Let's look at it from another angle: if you don't change and you keep trying to change the world, then nothing will change and you'll just end up re-creating the same world over and over again.

There are as many worlds as there minds and everyone lives in their own little private world. Life accommodates your ideas and beliefs and shows them back to you on the screen of life. If you want to know what you're been thinking, look in the physical world.

Do not expect to harvest tomatoes if you plant onions because life will give you precisely what you plant.
